Active Autowerke Cold Air Intake & Brake Duct Kit BMW E39 M5 99-03

The Active Autowerke Cold Air Intake (CAI) System will increase the performance of the BMW M5 (e39) by up to 25 horsepower and 39.18 ft./lbs. of torque at the rear wheels when measured on a dyno (Mustang MD250 chassis dyno with hood closed simulating road conditions). It offers a new level of innovative engineering, maintaining a factory-like appearance. The low restriction K&N air filters that are included, are just as easy to service as the the factory filters.

The additional front openings produce a ram-air effect, delivering a constant flow of cool air to the intakes. The increased air flow is also attributed to larger and longer air intake tracts.

Ducts for front brake cooling are operational once this system is installed. Cool air is now delivered to the front brakes, a welcome braking upgrade to complement the performance gains.
